Two capitals of Galicia
Tour date of the agreement.
Tour route: Lviv, Rohatyn - Galych - Ivano-Frankivsk - Manyavsky Skyt - Kolomyya - Kosiv- Bukovel.

The program of the tour:
Two capitals of Galician principality. In 1141, Galych became the capital and was built up into one of the largest cities of Europe at that time. In 1272 Lev Danylovych I (1228 -1301) – the prince of Galych-Volhunian transferred the capital of Galych-Volyn Principality to Lviv. These two capitals of the past and present and many pleasant surprises of Galicia are waiting for you in our tour.

Day 1.

- Arriving in Lviv, cultural centre of Galicia. Meeting of the tourists at the airport.
- Bus tour round Lviv. Visits Lychakivsky memorial cemetery, burial place of many prominent personalities from the history of Ukraine and Europe. High Castle, the cradle of the city. St. George cathedral - masterpiece of Baroque arhitecture.
- Transfer to hotel. Accommodation. Free time. Supper. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2.

- Breakfast.
- Walking tours round medieval city. Visits to City Hall, Italian courtyard , the Jewel Square - Latin Cathedral, Chapel of Boims - the shrine of the rich citiziens. Armenian Church with a courtyard, Pharmacy-Museum, Opera and Ballet House as one of the most luxurious in Europe.
- Lunch.
- Museum of Folk Architecture and Life "Shevchenko's grove”. Free time.
- Supper. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3.

- Breakfast.
- Transportation to Rohatyn. Rohatyn town is one of the oldest in Galicia (1184 years) with ancient temples and interesting legends. Tour round the city. Visits Wooden church of the Holy Spirit, the Church of St. Nicholas, Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
- Lunch.
- Transportation to Galych. Ancient town Galych, that lies on the thoughtful Dniester river, starting from XI century was the capital of the Galician principality with its glorious history and famous figures of Prince Danylo Galician and Jaroslav Osmomysl. This town is the heart of our land and hence the name "Galicia" spread over considerable territory and has been kept for many centuries. Tour round Galych. Visits to the monument of Danylo Galician, Church of Christ Nativity, Starostynskiy castle, Church of St. Panteleimon in Zalukva village, village Krylos - Museum of the History of Ancient Galych, Uspenian Church, Chapel of St. Basil - the base of the Uspenian Cathedral, Galicia grave.
- Transportation to Ivano-Frankivsk. Accommodation.
- Supper. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4.

- Breakfast.
- City of Ivano-Frankivsk (till 1962 Stanislav) was built on the territory of two ancient villages, Zabolottya and Knyahynyn between the rivers Bystryca Solotvyns'ka and Bystryca Nadvirnianska in the middle of XVII century. It was originally fortress built. In 1662 on the territory magnate Andrew Potockiy founded the town of Stanislav that he named in honor of his younger son. The city was built on the strategically important crossroads of that time. That is why it could grow rapidly and now it is the biggest city in the region with restored historic downtown with unique monuments of the past. Tour round the city. Visits to city hall and the regional museum, Sheptytsky square with Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection and collegiate Cathedral of Virgin Mary. Armenian Church on the Market Square.
- Transportation to the village Manyava near Ivano-Frankivsk(180 km). Visiting Manyavsky Skyt (XV century). Tour of the Monastery in the Carpathian Mountains.
- Transportation to Kolomyya, hotel accommodation.
- Supper. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5.

- Breakfast.
- An interesting town with European architecture, rich cultural and historical traditions. The town is considered to be founded by anty in IV-V century AD. The town was first mentioned in 1241 in Galicia-Volyn chronicles as a "profitable town” of Prince Danylo Galician. In the past the town played the role of centre of trade and defence.
- Walking tour round the historic part of Kolomyya. Museum of the History of Kolomyya with its collection of artifacts and documents of the history of the town.
- Lunch in a cafe of national cuisine "Hvalena Hata " ( "Vaunted House”).
- Visiting the unique Museum "Pysanka” ("Easter egg"), the National Museum "Huzul Folk Museum" and overlooking the exhibition of the rich collection of objects and works of art of hutsuls.
- Supper at the restaurant "Trembita”. Restaurant was built in the mountain style where the unique and delicious hutsul’s dishes are served. Free time.
- Supper. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6.

- Breakfast.
- "Travel on hutsul ring”. Leaving Kolomyya for Kosiv – center of the hutsul crafts (wood carving, embroidery, weaving wool, Easter egg, etc.).
- Transportation further according to the route to the town Verkhovyna (formerly Zhabye). Visits to the Museum of folk instruments by Roman Kumlyka.
- Lunch in one of the hutsul restaurants.
- Transportation by mountain road (thirty miles) to the most famous ski resort in Ukraine Bukovel. Here, tourists are offered: in winter - skiing, snowboarding, sledding, in other seasons, bicycling, roller skating, quad biking, horseback riding. Ride up to on one of the peaks of TC Bukovel. Enjoy the highest peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
- Coffee in the mountain cafe "Panorama".
- Transfer to the famous resort town of Yaremche. Visits a waterfall "Break" and one of the largest souvenir markets.
- Return to Kolomyya.
- Supper. Overnight at the hotel.
